To ensure a fair, fun, and competitive environment for all players, OdlySMP enforces a strict yet reasonable set of community guidelines. By connecting to the server at play.odlysmp.org, you implicitly agree to abide by these rules.
The use of any modified clients, hacked clients (e.g., Wurst, Meteor, Aristois), or third-party software that grants an unfair advantage over vanilla players is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, X-Ray resource packs, auto-clickers, kill-auras, fly hacks, and automated farming macros. We employ advanced server-side anti-cheat mechanisms. Detection of illicit software will result in an immediate, permanent ban from the network. Approved mods include OptiFine, Sodium, Lunar Client (without illegal modules), and standard minimaps (provided they do not show player or entity radar in PVP zones).
Minecraft is a game for all ages, and OdlySMP strives to maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Harassment, targeted bullying, hate speech, racism, sexism, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated in the server chat or our official Discord. While light trash-talk is acceptable during PVP encounters, it must never cross the line into personal attacks. Furthermore, spamming the chat, excessive use of caps, advertising other Minecraft servers, or repeatedly begging for items/ranks from staff or players is forbidden and will result in temporary mutes escalating to permanent bans.
OdlySMP is a Survival Multiplayer (SMP) server, and part of the thrill is protecting your valuables. While we provide land-claiming tools to protect your builds, entering an unclaimed area and taking items is considered valid gameplay. However, malicious griefing—defined as intentionally destroying someone's build without the intent to raid, covering bases in lava or obsidian, or spawning Withers near player homes—is considered toxic behavior. If a build is appropriately claimed, any exploit used to bypass that claim will result in a ban and a rollback of the damage. Protect your land, but respect the architectural efforts of others.
Our player-driven economy is the lifeblood of the server. Any attempt to duplicate items (duping), exploit server bugs, glitch through secure blocks, or manipulate the auction house using illegitimate means is an extremely serious offense. If you discover a bug or exploit, you are required to report it privately to a staff member via Discord tickets immediately. Benefitting from an exploit, or sharing it with other players, will lead to economy wipes and permanent removal from the server.
